Abstract photography series observing the recurring patterns in our lives and what they might mean.

My series of minimalist landscapes began in 2014. I have photographed locations all over the US while traveling and living nomadically.

A series of self-portraits by Mal McCrea aimed at exploring the complicated mix of emotions we feel when there is both sadness and joy, gratitude and struggle.

I created this woodblock print set, titled ‘Human’, in an independent study in printmaking with artist J Leigh Garcia.

During the global pandemic, this portrait series on life and connection in isolation proved to be a challenging introspection in a difficult season in my life.

This environmental portrait project was an exploration of the variations of self during a mundane and isolating season of life during the pandemic in 2020.

The sudden onset of a global pandemic has uncovered new ways of connecting with people. Still, the isolation of quarantine and the continued withdrawal from interactions out of fear or concern for one’s health and safety has been formative in ways we haven’t yet acknowledged, ways we won’t know the effects of for years to come.
