Walking through Winter

This collection of colorful abstract paintings came from a flow of creativity and chaotic emotions— the process of seeking lightness and brightness through the darkness of winter, and a difficult chapter mentally and emotionally. The intuitive mark-making process was a healing, cathartic emotional release, an act of mindfulness and self-love. On the canvas, I allowed interactions between colors to create anchors, visually and in my thoughts, and I continued to stack and layer to build connections; a freeing flow of creativity transpired.

Inspired by the calming, tactile experience of pushing paint around on the surface, and the visual inspiration found during my daily walks throughout the winter, this collection is a study of movement, hope, and the abstractions of the mind.

To celebrate one year in my studio, I wanted to offer this collection for purchase to those who have supported me since I landed in my little space, my first-ever online exhibition. View the full collection and make online orders here.
