Connection in Isolation

The sudden onset of a global pandemic has uncovered new ways of connecting with people. Still, the isolation of quarantine and the continued withdrawal from interactions out of fear or concern for one’s health and safety has been formative in ways we haven’t yet acknowledged, ways we won’t know the effects of for years to come. We are on a carousel, grappling as it turns with our sense of isolation, the despair, and even the joys in a time of eliminated physical connectedness.

This series will examine the isolation of one man and his only connection to others during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ways of interacting that would have once been considered impersonal or a hindrance to being present have now become our only way of interacting, safely.
